I want to give a special shout to the very lovely and talented Natalia Brutalia. I ended an awesome birthday weekend with her and Billy Roper. We spent some time at the pool and then made a visit to the Do Over in Hollywood. Natalia runs the spanking new MEOW blog over on TheHundreds.com. Luchadors, burlesque dancers and comedy. Since 2002, that is what Lucha VaVoom has been bringing to the table. We were lucky enough to attend the sold-out 2nd Annual Cinco de Mayan to witness this fantastic display of sexo y violencia. The wrestling is extremely entertaining and the hosts add good comedic commentary. It actually reminds me a bit of that SpikeTV show, MXC. As far as the burlesque part of the show, the fact that all the dance routines have a high possibility of turning into a striptease, gives me a warm feeling inside. The show returns to The Mayan theater in June so be sure to check out their site for ticket info. A special thank you to Angie for the invite, it was an awesome way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!
Better late than never. Here are a few pictures from our ice skating and holiday party we had just before the holidays. Had a great time ice skating downtown at Pershing Square. Afterward we had a drinks and food at The Must just around the corner.
