A couple more drills and I am through this book…this is my take on a lil guy. From pencil and paper to photoshop. I am excited to finish my own new character. Development over time will continue, but so will the doodles. Never stop doodling. Your best ideas are a doodle away.

Making Faces

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Sometimes I get so caught up in technology, the future, and the world of the matrix that i forget how precious and satisfying old school feels.

I recently spent hours at a book store feeding my imagination. From Swiss Graphic Design Books, to a Memoir for every Playboy Cover Girl in the whole 6,000 years of it being published, to drawing books.

Drawing is something I have always loved, but my obsession and careers in computers and modern day “hobbies” has led me away from the fun and simplicity of led on paper.

So I bought a drawing book and I am taking it old school with a pencil and paper. And these are some of my drills. My goal: to have developed my own unique character by Jan 1st. Stay Tuned.
